What is a Hero???

The classical idea of a hero is conjures up the idea of a strong, man who fights battles or great odds to save people and this idea of a hero still remains true but is that all a hero is?

In this case we have found that a hero can also be a women whose heart is big enough to share her husband so that the rest of us can enjoy the freedom of being an American, and that people she has never met before in a country she has never been to can have the hope of future without dictators and violence for their children.

Priscilla, has written about her Hero and husband Larry, and has humbly put him in the spotlight for all of us to know his story, but what about her story?
Priscilla fell in love with Larry when they were in high school, they went to prom together, they were engaged when they were 19 and when Larry asked her if he could join the air force, Priscilla knew full well of the dangers involved but she gave her blessing and support selflessly because she loves him.

She endured many nights of not knowing where he was and if he was safe,

she endured long distances for long time spans

she endured the comfort of just being simply a wife in exchange for being a military wife.

and when Larry's life was taken, Priscilla endured his death.

But her love and selflessness remain, and she has been active in helping other widows cope, teaching children, sending care packages, and writing to raise awareness about post traumatic stress disorder.

Priscilla is without a doubt a hero and we were honored to be able to help in telling her and Larry's story of love, courage, loss and a life that goes on.

To Priscilla; we cannot thank you enough for your openness and vulnerability. Your beauty and strength made us want to be a part of your fight to help other women who lose their husbands for our country.

To Larry: Thank you seems insufficient when we know your job to serve us cost you your life, but we will be forever grateful, and we will not let you be forgotten.
